The Hong Kong Adventure

The initial scare over, we reached our hotel in downtown Hong Kong (in Kowloon) by taxi.  We could have taken the Airport Express train, but decided otherwise.  The ride was smooth, and we went through long tunnels through mountains.

The Avenue of Stars
Even though we were exhausted, we went out to see Asia's World City.  The street our hotel was located on, Nathan Rd, was bustling with activity, and there were people dancing, practing Tai-Chi, and bands playing Cantonese, Mandarin and English songs everywhere.  You could walk around this single road of Hong Kong, all day, but you would still not be able to see everything.  Almost any international fashion brand you could think of has a store on Nathan Rd.

The amazing skyline
After some exploring, we proceeded to The Avenue of Stars, and saw the fantastic skyline of this cosmopolitan city.  The Avenue of Stars is located along the Victoria Harbor  waterfront, and honors celebrities from Hong Kong.  Here, there were plaques dedicated to celebrities from Hong Kong, there was one to Jackie Chan too.

Later, we went to the Clock Tower and into a couple of malls.  Many a time, malls from India claim to be the biggest malls in the continent (just a general observation).  But after visiting the malls in this city, you will not know if you should laugh or cry at their ridiculous assertions.

After having dinner at a fantastic Italian place in one of these buildings, we went back to our hotel and slept for a couple of hours.

For we had a flight to catch....to OSAKA!

...to be continued.
